My diploma...As a funny aside, I did not actually receive my diploma at the ceremony (unlike the other Ph.D. graduates). Instead my diploma case contained a letter stating that I owed the University money and would not receive the diploma until my fees were cleared. I found that rather annoying and amusing since I am employed by the University which owed me money for working the first nineteen days of August. Ten days later, I was able to navigate the bureaucratic red tape of the University and received my actual diploma.
